I was admitted to the hospital via the ER. I was not expecting to be there, much less to be there for multiple days.

I'm a single mom with no family in the area, so this hospital day was very stressful. I was in a lot of pain, worried about my child, worried about work, worried about getting better. Then came in Alan.

She was amazing. She talked to me as a person and a mom. She made all my visitors feel welcome. When my kid visited, she asked me how he was doing and not only if I needed anything but if he needed anything. She gave me excellent care as well as let me know everything that was happening. When they verbally said they would change my diet but did not get into the system, she tracked them down so I could get some food. My ER IV leaked at one point, and she came in quickly and fixed it.

She provided excellent and informative care but going above and beyond to calm my nerves and make me and my visitors feel welcomed in a place that no one wants to be, is what made her amazing in my eyes.
