Mr. McGlynn was my first nursing instructor in this program, and he set the tone and the bar for the rest of my nursing school experience. Throughout that first terrifying semester, he always made sure to reassure my classmates and me that we had what it takes to succeed as nurses and that we would be successful in the program and beyond. Even now when he is not my instructor anymore, over the course of the rest of my time in the nursing program he has always made himself available to provide any kind of extra support, tutoring, or education anytime he is asked. He always makes sure to check in on his former students to see how we are doing, if we need any help and if he can help us in any way. He continues to go above and beyond the call of any other teacher and now as I come to graduation from the nursing program I am forever grateful that he was the first person I had, my foundation for my nursing future is infinitely brighter because he is at the base of it.
