I have diverticulitis and an abscess on my colon. Alana has been my evening nurse since Monday. I have had a few visitors and family come see me, but mostly I’ve been alone.

I am a single mom of two kids and have lain in bed away from my kids, home, work, and comfort. During my stay here, the stress of my situation has piled on me. Alana’s presence and conversation have kept my emotions at bay. Her enthusiastic personality and big smile remind me that stress is temporary. She has encouraged my positive mindset to be present, even though it is a challenge.

Not only is Alana’s presence a blessing to many, but her valuable knowledge in medicine is also priceless. She is absolutely one of a kind nurse and human being. She deserves this award for many reasons, mostly for having such an amazing heart and soul. Please be sure such a beautiful, smart, amazing human doesn’t go unnoticed.
