Alana went above and beyond for me at every step of my care. She communicated well, considers the patient’s perspective, and maintained a positive attitude at all times. I have met a lot of nurses throughout my admissions but this nurse stands out miles ahead of all of the others. She is the most pleasant, professional, respectful, and compassionate nurse I’ve encountered. She really made me feel cared for and safe. She considers the little things to make my stay more comfortable. She was mindful of the number of blood drives and would communicate with the attending provider on my behalf to save time. I really felt that she was fighting for me with every medical decision, to make sure I was comfortable and included. Her attitude and positivity made her very enjoyable to be around and she was truly a ray of sunshine in my dark hospital room. She is an outstanding person, she deserves an award in ways words cannot express. She is also hilarious and kept me and my wife laughing even in the most difficult of situations. She’s an amazing person, a phenomenal nurse, and a true asset to this institution.
