Alana has supported me through surgery for colon cancer and 6 months of chemotherapy and arranged, as quickly as possible, more chemotherapy for metastatic bowel cancer.
She always replies to phone calls or messages and, although clearly very busy, has time for you and has encouraged me to contact her with any concerns I have.
Alana responds in a calm manner and has given me confidence which I have needed recently with an unexpected scan result.
Clearly, a hard-working Clinical Nurse Consultant respected by her colleagues and able to give information on additional services (e.g. Gym class run by Physios for chemo patients, Cancer Support groups, wig provision, etc.).
Well-known and respected in the area outside RHH too. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
