I have been a bedside RN for almost seven years, and for most of my career, I have always looked up to Albert as a mentor for his constant leadership and his love and passion for his career. Albert has worked here for many years and while most of us with normal schedule are sleeping at night, he is busy making sure that the patients and families are safe, his staff/peers are happy, and he does an outstanding job as a leader on our floor.
Most of our night shift staff look up to "Pappa Albert" for his ability to make our patients laugh and smile with his incredible character, his knowledge, and skills to help everyone on the floor, and his caring attitude. He is a humble hard worker, selfless and modest, and always gives 110% at work without ever looking for recognition. Albert makes this unit feel like family and home. He is the definition of an inspirational Nurse Leader that makes a unit like ours so special. With all my heart, I nominate Albert for the DAISY Award. He deserves it.
