Alberto anticipates the needs of the department, from supplies to schedules and providers.
Alberto is our lead nurse in endoscopy at falls church. The following are his characteristics that are exceptional.
1. Compassionate: Alberto genuinely cares about his team and the department; he goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone is supported. During wintertime, he picks up some staff who he knows will have a hard time going to work due to snow, even if this is not his usual route.
2. Skilled Nurse: Alberto is a highly skilled nurse, possesses a high level of clinical expertise, and is proficient in performing nursing interventions and procedures effectively and safely. He can perform complex cases as a nurse and as a technician. He is our expert consultant on our new projects and is always willing to work with our vendors to see the latest and greatest technology. During Caton Hill’s start-up, he was willing to help and was always present during the start-up of our complex cases. Even on short notice, he is willing to travel to Caton Hill to support the workload.
3. Flexible: Alberto adapts easily to changing circumstances; when we have a callout, his response is always, “No problem, I will work it out.” When he does the schedule, he makes sure that all concerns are addressed. He takes his break last, making sure everyone has taken theirs. He never calls out and is always there when crises arise.
4. Proactive: Alberto anticipates the needs of the department, from supplies to schedules and providers. He always makes it a point to do huddles to make sure expectations are set, and that concerns are communicated.
