From the moment I met Aldora, I felt at ease. She was professional & articulate when it came to my wound care needs. I could sense this was an experienced nurse who had the skills and knowledge on how to treat my complex leg wound. Her confidence that my wound would heal, that it would just take time, was very reassuring.
I have learned that I can ask Aldora any question. She truly practices in a holistic manner and is concerned about her patients’ mind, body, and spirit. Every visit, she makes sure I'm doing well from all three perspectives. Her quiet, caring manner makes her an ideal person to share your concerns with.
Aldora is never judgmental and offers practical advice. She does her best to accommodate any requests, which fosters trust in human connection. She understands that treating patients as individuals creates that bond.
Aldora practices both the art and science of nursing, and that is why I am nominating her for this award; she symbolizes all the reasons why the DAISY ward was created.
