Aldrich Senar, BSN, RN

I would like to recognize Aldrich for his superb care of this patient. He recognized subtle signs of clinical decompensation on Friday and initiated a multidisciplinary team discussion about her hemodynamics and clinical status. He urged the team to update her daughter (who lives out of town) in real-time. He communicated very effectively the important factors, being mindful of which information was needed for which team (ie multiple secure chat threads).

He played a key role in the escalation of her care. She was borderline at the time for needing critical care but because of the respect that the provider team has for Aldrich and his keen clinical skills, she was upgraded for close monitoring primarily on the account of "when Aldrich senses a patient is sick then the patient is sick". This patient is now gravely ill and suffered multiple cardiac arrests in the IMC. Without Aldrich's early escalation, she would've coded on the floor in a rather traumatic way. This is certainly DAISY-worthy.
