Having been a volunteer Eucharistic Minister at Mercy for the past six years we have observed the work of most of the caregivers on every floor of the State Street facility.
Nurse Ireland has impressed me from the first time I saw him. Having had years of business experience with fourteen years as President of two companies, it becomes second nature to see a professional at their work.
That was evident in the demeanor of Alec Ireland and as the husband of B, who was a patient in the care of Mr. Ireland. His entire work ethic was of a caring, compassionate, very capable medical professional - following the Mercy Mission as it is written. My wife died two years ago and as my thoughts go back to those long days and nights, I thank God for the tender, loving concern nurse Alec Ireland showed to my loving wife of sixty years.
I am now eighty-three years of age and only pray that when the time comes that I need hospitalization that I am wherever Nurse Alec Ireland is on duty.
