Ally reached out to her fellow coworkers and was able to raise enough money to buy this patient 8 cases of feedings which was going to last them 25 days!
Ally went above and beyond for her patient one day. This patient had been with us for a long period of time and was the nicest patient. This patient was getting discharged and had a difficult time swallowing, was unable to eat regular food, and required a PEG tube which required this patient to need tube feedings at home. The patient expressed concerns to Ally about not being able to afford the feedings and supplies. Ally came up with a good idea of getting donations from her fellow coworkers to help this patient out. She also provided some supplies to send home with this patient to get him through a few days. Ally reached out to her fellow coworkers and was able to raise enough money to buy this patient 8 cases of feedings which was going to last them 25 days! This was such a great help to the patient and their family. The patient and family started crying and were so grateful for the good deed Ally did for them! They expressed their gratefulness and couldn't thank Ally enough for this! They said, "We were so stressed about this situation, and you just helped us out so much".

Ally, you showed great compassion towards this patient and family. This is a great example of Service is Our Passion and Our Passion is You! Keep up the great work! Your hard work does not go unnoticed. I am so proud of you and so grateful to be your coworker!

From the patient’s wife: “Ally didn't have to do this but saw our struggles, all I can say is that she has blessed us more than words could ever explain. Aside from this, she's provided exceptional care for my husband and provided us with supplies to get my husband started on his road to recovery. I'm forever grateful to Ally. She's amazing! UMC - you hold on to this angel of a nurse! She's one of the best ones!”
