My nurse, Aleksandra, was so special to me throughout my entire stay and that matters. But what matters most is what her last final hours included. She was busy with her own caseload and still found the time to encourage me and cheer me on. She felt like my biggest champion. She even went out of her way to ensure the department paid for one of my insurance.

She was kind, loving and so giving and so good to me. She never looked down on me as an alcoholic but treated me with the humankindness we all deserve. Thank you doesn't express my gratitude. I hope we stay acquaintances for years to come. Keep making the big fight. You are one of the good ones.
