February 2025 Honoree
Alesha Brickner, RN BSN
My son was inpatient for 5 days, and at one point, I was concerned about his low-grade fever post open heart surgery. Alesha Brickner communicated promptly with his physician, relayed their message, and gave my son medical attention to ensure his fever did not increase. All the while, she showed compassion and understanding for my concerns. She reassured me and made me feel comfortable about my son's health care needs. My son is Mid-Spectrum Autistic. He struggles with socialization and prefers to stay home because others just don't understand him. Alesha showed consistent respect and attention when she listened to him and made him feel heard. She has a unique and beautiful skill to connect and communicate with her patients, providing them with a wonderful motivation to heal. Thank you, Alesha!
Thank you, Alesha, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
