Late at night, I was brought down from the observation center because they had been unable to convert my rapid heart rate back to normal. Alesia got me settled in and began the IV to administer the drugs. She knew I was upset about being in atrial fibrillation for a long time. She stayed with me and talked gently to me. She placed her hand on mine as I was lying on the bed, the first time anyone had done that. I did finally convert, it may have been the medication, but it may also have been Alesia's care.
