Over 2 hours Alessandra stayed, talking and listening and distracting me.
From the minute Alessandra came on duty she was warm, friendly, and willing to help with anything I asked of her. I had not had a sponge bath or a shampoo for two days, and she encouraged me to have the vocational nurse shampoo my hair and gave me a sponge bath. It was 10 pm! But I felt so clean and slept so well all night. She is a great night nurse.

It was around 1 am and I was having a terrible AFIB attack and had trouble breathing. I was scared and panicking. Alessandra came over to me and said she wanted to stay with me until I felt better. Over 2 hours she stayed, talking and listening and distracting me. I don’t know how I would have survived the night without her. What a delightful young woman she is. She is truly an ‘angel of mercy’. She showed such compassion and empathy. How very fortunate we are to have such a wonderful nurse here at Sequoia Hospital. By the way, all of the other nurses have been terrific as well. They have all been caring, truthful, and kind, as well as efficient.
