Alessia takes the time to get to know her patients as individuals, learning about their interests, preferences, and what brings them comfort. She transforms ordinary moments into unforgettable ones by creating handmade birthday, get-well, and discharge cards, drawing personalized artwork for her patients, singing to lift their spirits, and even playing an instrument to bring comfort and joy. These thoughtful gestures leave lasting impressions, and many patients remember her long after they leave the hospital.
Beyond the bedside, Alessia is an incredible teammate who is always willing to help others and support her colleagues. She exemplifies teamwork, professionalism, and kindness in everything she does.
She is also an outstanding preceptor who invests in the success of new nurses and nursing students. Her students consistently speak highly of her guidance, patience, and encouragement, and she inspires confidence in those she mentors.
