My husband was a patient on 2 East/ Telemetry during the first week of January. He was very fortunate to have Alex Mirsky for his night shift nurse for his three night stay.

Alex was outstanding in every way. He demonstrated professionalism and high quality care. He was competent in all areas and always ready to help in any situation. Routine duties were performed on time without us asking or calling for him.

Alex exhibited sincere compassion for my husband's situation. My daughters and I saw Alex in the hallway as we were going back to my husband's room following his surgery. He stopped to talk to us about the surgery and we told him how it had gone. He was so compassionate and rejoiced with us on the positive outcome of the surgery. We felt he truly cared about my husband's prognosis. Alex was always ready to explain things and answer questions. He has a wonderful rapport with his patients.

I cannot say enough positive things about Alex and all that he did for my husband, as well as the way he treated my daughters and me. Alex is an outstanding nurse and most deserving of the DAISY Award.
