Alexa Bella, BSN, RN

Alexa is new to PMG. In her first few weeks, she has shown professionalism, compassion, and dignity to patients. The staff appreciates her hard work here.

One patient who was recently hospitalized was seen for a follow-up from hospitalization. The patient is 78 years old and lives in an assisted living facility. The patient was prescribed multiple medications, was not given clear instructions, was anxious, and even had a panic attack. Alexa was helping the patient with a prior authorization for some medications that are important to continue after hospitalization. Alexa took the time to organize all her medications and remove medications she did not need. She also updated the med list and created a list of medications that need refill. She spent 4 hours after the appointment, ensuring the patient understood and felt less anxious about it. Alexa went above and beyond getting medications approved by insurance. She also called the heart clinic and helped the patient get an alternative heart medication instead of one that would have cost $1200 dollars. Alexa Bella exemplifies the mission and core values of Providence. She truly deserves a DAISY Award.
