I was impressed with many of the employees of the Borgess Ascension Health System. I would like to especially address the fine care from one very special nurse, Alexa Nguyen, during my stay. I had just suffered a mild stroke. In a very competent manner, Alexa reassured me and helped relieve my fears, but she also educated me on the part I could play in getting the best outcome. She was very understanding, courteous and gentle, but definitely knowledgeable and in charge. She appeared to respectfully work well with those around her, humble in her approach. She wants to serve to the best of her ability. Being a nurse is more than a job to her. It is a career where she is proud and content. Incidentally, she has an amazing smile!
