My daughter R was diagnosed with a stage 4 cancerous tumor in her brain and luckily with an amazing doctor and his team, they were able to remove 95% of it. It has hit our family very hard and being in a hospital far away from home while leaving two kids behind isn't very easy, but Alexa was an absolutely wonderful nurse. She is full of compassion, energy, and love. She makes my 15-year-old teenager feel like she's one of her friends. This really helps R feel at home and forget about what she is going through. She makes her laugh, giggle, makes her feel valued and important. They both love Sushi! Who doesn't? My daughter tells me, "She's so cool, I feel like I have known her all my life." When I hear her say that, it brings such joy to my life. Alexa is like a ray of sunshine that pours into my daughter's room. She listens to her needs and wants, she makes sure she's happy and feeling good before she leaves her shift. Not only did my daughter fall in love with her energy and compassion, but my baby and I did also as well. She truly does change lives, I know this 100%. She's so young and just began her nursing career and look at how much she is able to give, I know she will keep changing lives, making children smile and bring joy to their lives.
