June 2025 Honoree
Alexander Freeman, BSN, RN
With a complicated medical history, my mom had several visits to the ED over the years. Early one Sunday morning, she arrived by squad and was septic. I knew this was something she would not beat this time.
Alex actively listened to my family’s questions and answered in terms we could understand. He came into the room on a regular rotation, checking on us and letting us drive Mom’s care with his expertise to guide us. He treated my mom with such compassion and respect. It wasn’t until later that I realized that not only did he take extraordinary care of my mom, he also took extraordinary care of us. Thank you, Alex.
