A PRSC Rep received an inbound call from a patient, regarding her visit to Banner Boswell Medical Center.
The patient called to voice her compliment for her discharging RN, Alex. The patient states she used to be a hospital Social Worker and would like Alex to receive recognition for his "hard work" and "going above and beyond" his nursing duties. The patient stated that she had previously been on hospice and was being discharged from hospice again.
Per the patient, there was an error with her discharging pain medication. The patient states the prescription didn't go to the pharmacy, it went to hospice and hospice was not sure when they would get the medication to her. The patient states Alex spent over an hour figuring out her discharge and making sure a hospice RN would be out to see her that evening.
The patient states Alex "needs to be complimented and recognized" for being "so professional", "kind", efficient and "going above and beyond." The patient voiced Alex's work helped her feel more comfortable going home and like she "wasn't alone."
