Paramedics brought my husband to the Emergency Room. He was admitted to the hospital with staph and sepsis infection to his blood, low blood pressure and high ammonia level. My husband came in very sick and he did receive wonderful care from everyone that had a hand in his care. I honestly have nothing negative to say about anyone but there is one nurse that has gone above and beyond and just stands out above and beyond everyone else. Allie is the closest thing to an angel that we have encountered in a long time.
Allie is naturally a very caring person - that's evident in everything she does. She paid attention to every detail of my husband's condition and she interacted with him with such compassion and empathy.
Allie never entered my husband's room without a smile and upbeat personality and she was always kind and so confident in his care from administering his medications to giving one on one patient care. She took my husband to the bathroom, cleaned him up - which he is very private and at first was very uncomfortable - but Allie's great attitude and professionalism calmed him down and he was okay!
I have to attribute my husband's recovering to Allie and all she has done. She showed me, my husband, and my entire family nothing but kindness, she showed us she cared about our concerns and answered all of our questions. If she didn't know the answer she got it! There was always an open door of communication if we needed her.
Both my husband and I are so grateful for having Allie as my husband's nurse and if anyone deserves to be recognized for the DAISY Award it's definitely Allie. I could never thank her enough for the excellent care she has provided for my husband.
