Alex is the epitome of The DAISY Award. I write this with tears streaming down my face, literally. This nomination is for a nurse that I believe was a God-sent angel. I just recently lost my mother, and my father is hospitalized in bad condition.

Alex was empathetic to our situation and treated us all with dignity and respect. She was very compassionate, caring, supportive, and always encouraging. One day, my father wanted to give up. Alex spoke to him and was an active listener. She counseled my father and let him know his worth and the reasons why he could not give up. Her professionalism and care prompted me to submit for The DAISY Award. She is a rare diamond who cannot be compared to anyone else. I'm going to miss her, but I will never forget her.
