Alexandra Garibay, RN

Alex was assigned to a patient who recently relapsed with osteosarcoma. The patient was supposed to go on an oncology trip to New York and instead had to spend the weekend in hospital. Alex and the pediatric team made it their mission to bring New York to her since her trip was canceled. She found items in the child life closet to dress as Lady Liberty and several cowgirl hats for a show line. Our HemOnc coordinator ordered her a cheesecake and cannolis. They decorated her room and had everything set up before she arrived. The pediatric team shows true compassion and love for their patients, and this is one of the family examples of what Alex does for her patients. Thank you, Alex!
