Alex is a wonderful person to work for! You can approach her with any issues and she will help you resolve them.
Alex is an amazing Nurse Manager of the Trauma Department. She always takes the time to speak with staff and her emphasis is always on the work/life balance. Especially during this COVID period, Alex has gone above and beyond her Trauma Department responsibilities by working as an RN in the Emergency Department once a week for many months. As many heroic nurses are aware, the ED is one of the most stressful environments any nurse can work. I admire Alex greatly for her dedication and willingness to "pitch in" during this unprecedented time.
Even with all of this, with Alex's leadership, several weeks ago, we achieved a successful Trauma Department survey! And lastly and perhaps most importantly, Alex is a wonderful person to work for! You can approach her with any issues and she will help you resolve them. She cares!

I would like to recognize a nurse leader who has made such a difference in the ED for our patients and families and staff. She has been a model of outstanding leadership despite working under tremendous pressure. Alex Evans has taken on the day-to-day operations of the ED since the beginning of February. This would be a daunting task for any leader but not so for this leader. She has met every challenge with grace, compassion, integrity, and a winning smile. Her energy and dedication to do what needs to be done have been phenomenal. In the short time she has been leading this team, she has made a huge impact. She has worked with the team to implement several key initiatives. These initiatives include Triage/Pivot nurse and Provider in Triage which has significantly improved patient experience and patient flow. Alex, I just want to thank you and let you know how amazing you are. We are so grateful for what you have accomplished.
