Alexandra Mason, RN

I was at Good Samaritan Western Ridge ER with chest and abdominal pains. As one would imagine, between being in extreme pain and fearing having a heart attack my anxiety level was through the roof. I interacted with several nurses and techs and all were extremely nice, but nurse Alex took it to the next level. Her nursing skills were impeccable but what I wanted to discuss are her compassion and amazing bedside manner. I had many questions and concerns and for an unknown reason, I wasn't getting answers from the doctor, thankfully Alex was my saving Grace. I was already stressed from my physical ailments but the lack of communication made it considerably worse. Alex was wonderful. I can't count how many times she made special trips to discuss my questions/concerns with the doctor and communicate all the test results with me. In addition to all the running she did on my behalf; she did a truly amazing job of helping me to stay calm. Alex went above and beyond. Her wonderful bedside manner and friendly voice helped to keep my anxiety at bay. Everyone may have to wear masks, but I could clearly hear the smile in her voice. Alex is a true DAISY Nurse.
