I have learned so much this semester and am so grateful to Prof Ponsiglione's dedication that I feel compelled to recognize her. There are so many positive things to say about her both as a person as well as an educator, it is hard to find the right place to start! She is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled. She is so completely patient and encouraging when explaining things. If it takes a little extra time to explain something to a student, then she takes a little extra time! And she does so in a way that never makes you feel "less than." She truly longs to see each of her students succeed, and it shows. She is very regularly proactive in asking each student what they desire more exposure to. It may be a skill that needs more practice, or an area that is just of interest. Whatever the case, she does her best to secure those additional learning opportunities for each one of us. She is both kind and compassionate with a certain temperament that instantly makes her patients and her students completely at ease. It evokes a feeling where you just know she has your back. She commands respect, and she does so in a manner that not only earns it for herself but also encourages our team to respect and honor each other. If one person has a heavy load, several others are always stepping up to help out. This is a direct reflection of the leadership that she embodies. She is adamant about arriving early for clinical, and she holds herself to that same high standard. She truly walks the talk! I personally feel she would make a fabulous full-time educator. I am so pleased to have finished off strong with such a great clinical experience.
