Alex was there holding my wife’s hand while the procedure occurred. She embodies what it means to be a nurse, and LRMC, her patients, and the Army are lucky to have her.
During the birthing process of our first child, Alex was instrumental in comforting and encouraging my wife, who was in labor for almost three days. My wife really wanted to have a natural birth, and Alex did everything within her scope to make that happen. She spent hours helping my wife with bodywork & bringing humor into the stressful situation, which helped tremendously. Although my wife had to have a c-section, both she and I were at ease knowing Alex and the team did everything they could to help her have a natural birth. A c-section occurred at change of shift, and Alex was there holding my wife’s hand while the procedure occurred. She embodies what it means to be a nurse, and LRMC, her patients, and the Army are lucky to have her. What we expected to be a 2 day hospital day turned into a 5-day stay, but without Alex, our stay would not have been the same.
