I am sure if our patient who was once a healthy young woman, was able to speak for herself she would thank Alex for all of the hard, empathetic, and compassionate care provided. Alex shares deep empathy for this young woman that we have all taken care of recently, who has had an unfortunate turn in the road but is now healing, and now is able to finally share a few smiles with our team.

Alex took the time to give our patient, C,  a spa day. Something a lot of, especially our sicker and long term patients, could use to cheer them up. She went as far to bring her own nail polish that C loves, a grey/blue color. It was the first time I’ve seen this patient smile. She also took the time, to bring her own hair dryer, washed out C's hair and really went the full yard and blew out C's hair. Now that is extraordinary care! Care like this should be exemplary, and I am sure once this patient is able to speak for herself, she would extend many thanks for the love and care Alex has provided.
