I would like to tell you about an outstanding nurse and her work at the VA hospital. Ms. Zuckerman was there to greet me and make me comfortable. She was my guardian angel, and realized my health was fading away quickly. She first reassured me that everything was going to be alright, and she was going to summon the doctors to come and check on me. I remember seeing a lot of shadows in my room and then black, nothing. I remember nothing until I woke up in a room on the 2nd Floor. I was very thankful to see that Ms. Zuckerman was still my nurse. She took the time to explain to me that my colon had ruptured, and I ended up with an ostomy, and a larger wound in my stomach. When Ms. Zuckerman was my nurse, she made sure my medication was on time. She showed respect, integrity, and commitment when she performed her duties. She had such an infectious smile, and manner that you couldn't help but smile back. You can always tell when someone enjoys the job they perform. Ms. Zuckerman always took the time to check on me whenever she could. She showed me respect and integrity in all she did. I truly believe that I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for her fast actions and how she handled the situation. Ms. Zuckerman treated me with the utmost respect and urgent care that the VA Mission would expect. Ms. Zuckerman is knowledgeable and passionate about working at the VA. She should be recognized for excellent care of the Veterans. Ms. Zuckerman is committed to the Veterans and their health. She shows excellence in her duties and truly focuses on serving Veterans. I truly believe that Alex is my guardian angel who saved my life and will always have a special place in my heart.
