Alexandria Caruso, BSN, RN

Alex is an outstanding and compassionate nurse who is also a nursing student clinical instructor on her days off. Recently, Alexandria had a patient who was set to go to a rehab facility at 7 pm. When she called to give the receiving RN report, she was informed that they did not have a bed for the patient. Rather than just accepting this answer, Alex then called the admissions director at the facility to find out what happened and see if there was anything, she could do to help facilitate getting the patient discharged. She was informed that there was a lack of communication between the facility and their liaison. Alex worked quickly to inform the medical team of the delay, cancelled the patient's ambulance transport before they arrived on scene and kept the patient's family well informed of the issue. Alex is a pleasure to work with and goes above and beyond for her patients.
