Lexi has been amazing throughout my journey over a year. As you can imagine going through treatments and slowly losing hope after each treatment gets to a person who always wanted to be a mom. Each failure is so devastating that any support you get during that time is invaluable. Lexi always went above and beyond. Whether responding to all the questions I sent through my Duke chart or sending encouraging messages. She was never judgmental but always happy to help. She makes sure that she gets to know you better and makes you feel like you are special and not another number in the books. Thanks to her I feel supported and cared for. She is a genuinely caring person and her empathy made me feel like an important person and not just a patient. I am certain she is really good to every patient, but I wanted to nominate her so that what she does for each patient doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you, Lexi, you are an amazing nurse.
