have worked with Alex for many years, and throughout that time his performance as a Registered Nurse has been consistently exemplary. He is deeply committed to ensuring that all patients in Unit 1 North receive the highest standard of care. His expertise in caring for both pediatric patients and adult brain injury patients is particularly commendable and reflects his strong clinical knowledge and skill.

As an RN III, Alex has played a vital role in coaching and mentoring new nurses, consistently emphasizing safe practice and professional accountability. He is a strong patient advocate who has spoken up on numerous occasions to interdisciplinary teams and unit leadership to ensure that patient needs and concerns are addressed promptly and appropriately. He routinely provides guidance and support to new staff and float nurses, fostering a safe and collaborative work environment.

Alex consistently ensures patient comfort and provides thorough education to both patients and their families. In his role as Unit Charge Nurse, he effectively troubleshoots clinical issues, utilizes appropriate resources, and addresses human resource concerns with professionalism and sound judgment. He is dependable and widely regarded as one of the quiet strengths and natural leaders of Unit 1 North.

Highly respected by his peers and members of the interdisciplinary team, Alex is also an active participant in the Research Magnet Council and consistently supports unit initiatives aimed at enhancing efficient and excellent patient care. He possesses an in-depth understanding of the patient population served by Unit 1 North, and there is great confidence that when Alex is working, the unit runs smoothly.

I strongly believe that Alex embodies the attributes of an exceptional nurse who consistently prioritizes the safety and well-being of both patients and colleagues. He is truly deserving of recognition for his outstanding contributions to the patients and community we serve.
