Alexes is truly a remarkable young man who represents the finest in nursing tradition.
Alexes is an outstanding nurse beyond his young age and relative inexperience. Already promoted into the charge nurse position he commands the department with compassion, fairness, and a true interest in helping his patients. Thinking outside the box truly helped an incarcerated patient recently who presented with an entrapped wedding ring on his finger. The ring resisited more than 2 hours of efforts to remove it until he called the fire department who used a diamond saw to remove it.

There is no one example of circumstance that can describe how amazing Alexes is. He not only provides compassionate patient care, but he is an amazing team player. Alexes steps up to help out whenever we need him. He always has a smile on his face. During the surge, Alexes showed up to work every day with the drive and attitude the team really needed. He lost family members during this time and that still did not stop him from being the amazing nurse he is.
Alexes is an exceptional nurse who always goes above and beyond to care for his patients. I have witnessed him display extreme compassion to patients even on the busiest nights. The thing about Alexes that I truly appreciate, and respect is his dedication to our department. He lifts everyone up and carries us through the most difficult shifts. His work ethic is inspiring as is his leadership. We are lucky to have him as a part of our team.

I’ve been lucky to have Alexes as a preceptor for the past month. I’ve witnessed firsthand excellent patient care he provides and how willing he is to lend a helping hand to coworkers. Alexes is always open to questions and make sure to address patient/family members concerns. He exemplifies white memorial mission and values and he’s caring nature is evident in his practice. During my first mid shift which ended at 1:30 AM Alexes offered to walk me to my car as I had parked all the way across the street. This is just one example of the way he cares for those around him. Thank you, Alexes.
