Alexis Brewer 3, RN

My wife has been a patient at WakeMed for over a month. I would like to give a particular shoutout to Alexis, who has cared for my wife on numerous occasions and has made a special connection with her throughout her stay. Aside from her compassionate disposition, even when Alexis wasn’t assigned to her, she made a point to stop by to visit my wife to see how she was doing and offer positive words of encouragement, which has gone a long way toward helping her cope with her hospital stay and the future. Alexis also gave my wife a “spa” day, washing her hair, re-braiding it, and painting her fingernails. I cannot fully express my deep gratitude for how happy Alexis made my wife. The smile(s) on her face said it all for her and for me.
