Alexis Christoff, Student

Alexis has shown compassion, given wonderful care, and went above and beyond to care for her patient after a procedure was completed. After this procedure, the patient complained of pain and hunger. Even though she does not have her license, she went above and beyond to ensure that this patient was comfortable and could eat something. As a safety precaution, she ensured that the patient could have something to eat after the procedure. The nurses on the unit have several patients, and Alexis went out of her way to make sure that her patient received pain medicine as soon as she could so that she could be comfortable. The patient complained several times about the medicine not coming fast enough, and Alexis showed respect and dignity to the patient by ensuring her that her medication would be coming once the nurse got it. In the meantime, Alexis did everything she could to help the patient get as comfortable as they could before the medicine arrived. This nursing student will make an outstanding nurse one day.
