I honestly cannot imagine one way that Alexis could have been a better nurse or given me better care!
On a trip to Breckenridge from my home in Dallas, I unexpectedly ended up in the cardiac ICU after having a heart attack less than 48 hours after my arrival. Alexis was the first person I met after my arrival in the ICU. I was scared to death and heartbroken. I had never been a patient in a hospital other than giving birth to my four children. From the moment I arrived, Alexis gave me the best possible care! She cared for all aspects of me - body, mind, and spirit! She was knowledgeable about the care I was receiving- explaining everything in a way that made sense to me and repeating anything I needed her to. She was kind, calm, and reassuring. She made me confident that I would leave the hospital soon, and heal and recover from this scary event in my life. She let me know what would happen next and always asked if I had any questions. She always asked if I needed anything, and I truly felt like she cared about my well-being and recovery. I completely trusted Alexis! In addition to caring for my physical needs, she cared for me emotionally by moving me out of the bed to a chair by the window so I could see outside & have sunlight on my face; taking me on a walk around the ICU floor; and talking to me about my family and sharing with me about hers. Alexis always called my husband and me by name, too.

She truly made a traumatic event in my life infinitely better than it could have been without her care. I honestly cannot imagine one way that Alexis could have been a better nurse or given me better care! She is excellent in every way! I am so very thankful that she was my nurse. My husband and I will never forget Alexis!
