Dr. Alexis Koenig is the epitome of a leader. She is knowledgeable and fair, approachable and kind. She ensures that her students are engaged and learn by providing multiple platforms for understanding. She is a role model for us all and preaches integrity. Her teaching approach is respectful, inclusive, and comes from a place of love. I cannot say how much I appreciate what she gave us. She is passionate about research and makes the subject matter applicable to real life and interesting. She taught the importance of academic integrity and helped us understand APA in a way that is not overwhelming. She taught us to respect her, each other, and the researchers from which we learned. She ensured academic integrity and explained the importance of providing credit to researchers for their work. She was kind to all of us and made us feel like we were part of a group. She ensured we were engaged in learning by providing many opportunities for interaction.
