Alexis Schrader, BSN RN

Nurse Alexis was just an angel on this Earth sent to me. I had her a majority of my stay and your other nurses were amazing as well but she was an angel. I was so scared when I came to Magee because another hospital scared the heck out of me and my fiance. They had us thinking I wasn't going to make it and if I did I wasn't going to have my female organs (which was really hard to hear because my fiance of 8 years and I lost one preemie, another premie at 16 weeks, and I suffered a miscarriage. Alexis just gave the kindest, sincere care. She told me everything about my infection and gave me peace of mind. I have been to many hospitals in different states due to my other chronic condition and never have I ever had an experience at any of them like I have had here. My entire team were angels but Alexis was different.

I am in the medical field myself and it takes a special person to be a nurse like Alexis. She truly is a nurse angel. She got me to not give up, be comfortable, and because of her, I stayed my full time and received the care I needed to get better. I usually sign myself out and never finish but because of her and her team, I did! Please, she truly deserves this Award. I have tears in my eyes as I write this letter because there is not enough paper or time to write everything amazing about her.
