There are not enough words or expressions I can write or say to truly describe the excellent level of care and compassion I have received from the wonderful nurse, Alexis Tritsarolis. She has gone above and beyond in the level of care she has given me. She has made my visit for treatment pleasurable. As a first-time cancer-diagnosed patient, it was and is very comforting to have a nurse like her! She remembers my medication, she remembers what I need – two room temperature ginger ales. She answers all questions in detail and explains fully until I understand on my own level. She also made my family comfortable knowing she is giving care. My own mother wants to adopt her into the family. My cancer diagnosis has really rocked and shaken my world upside down, and it is so great to have a nurse who has a great level of professionalism, compassion, and human care to treat me so lovely! I truly look forward to treatment today because of her. I hate that I have cancer, but grateful for Nurse Alexis. She is great. It is not a job to her, but giving a great level of care with compassion. There are so many examples I could list of her examples. For example, when I had an unusual reaction to medication while there to be disconnected from my chemo pack, she contacted my oncologist team/doctor for me to get nausea meds and made sure I was okay. She also helped to calm my mother down and assisted in getting me to the facility. Alexis Tritsarolis is a rock star nurse and UH is very lucky to have her on the team.
