March 2026 Honoree
Alexus Wilson, RN
My 78-year-old dad just finished his bypass surgery and was transferred from HVICU to the fourth floor for his recovery. At the time, he was very fragile and not very mobile. On top of that, he doesn’t speak English. It’s difficult for him to communicate his needs.
Nurse Alexus was very patient and went above and beyond to take care of my dad. She showed how much she cared about my dad through her actions. She spent extra time talking and helping my dad in addition to the time she’s assigned to take care of my dad. She went out of her way to come over to say goodbye to my dad before he was discharged from the hospital. She’s very caring about her patients and deserves to be recognized for it.

Thank you, Alexus, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
