Ali Lake was taking care of a patient, who was end of life. Through taking the time to communicate with the patient’s family and was not able to be present at the time of the patient’s passing, Ali kneeled at the side of the bed and held her hand as she passed. Ali’s humility and dedication to her patients are what keep students like me reminded of why we are called to those in their most vulnerable and sacred moments. Thank you, Ali, for all you do.
