Ali is truly a wonderful person and nurse. I couldn’t have done it without her.
I truly don’t know if I could have done it without our nurse, Ali.  When my water broke, it felt like things were moving quickly.  However, things slowed down, and shift change came. Throughout most of the night, Ali took care of me and my husband diligently.  When it came time to start pushing, Ali was the best coach, giving so much knowledge to positions or tips to keep things moving.  After about 3 hours of active pushing, my epidural stopped working, and the doctor deemed I needed assistance via the vacuum.  Ali never left my side, encouraging me when I needed it and continually advocating for me.

She helped coach my husband when he felt helpless and was so positive.  Over an hour later, the vacuum wasn’t working, and the baby wasn’t descending.  The doctor decided I needed an unplanned C-section.  I became extremely emotional and frustrated, and I was in the worst pain of my life.

Ali is the reason my husband and I had the courage to continue.  With both of us in tears, I vomiting from the pain as they wheeled me into the OR, she kept us both calm once more when shift change came, and the entire staff who was with me while I pushed left.  All new staff began prepping me for a C-section. Ali stayed to make sure we were ok. It takes a very special person to be that kind.  Ali is truly a wonderful person and nurse.  I couldn’t have done it without her.
