Not only did she do this, but she also sat with the patient (the patient told me this) until she was sure that the patient could get her medication.
Alice goes above and beyond for patients daily. I saw the last patient of the day at 4:30 pm on Friday, who was struggling with a pancreatitis episode.
I called her about some prescriptions. I drove home, and Alice called me on the phone saying she happened to be at Walmart and saw our patient, and she had an issue picking up one of the prescriptions, so Alice called me to get it taken care of.
Not only did she do this, but she also sat with the patient (the patient told me this) until she was sure that the patient could get her medication. The patient was very thankful for this and called Alice a "Godsend," which I agree with. Alice is such a team player, and she is willing to stop what she is doing at any hour of the day to help someone out in need.
Alice also calls patients we see throughout the week (unprompted by me) to check in on them and make sure they're feeling better. She checks on our elderly patients as well and tries to coordinate care with patients who lack socioeconomic resources or do not have much support at home. Alice is the best!
