Alice Najera, BSN, RN

My daughter, who is 13, was scheduled for surgery; she was extremely anxious and nervous. Alice came to get us ready for surgery and noticed that my daughter was nervous to get her IV. Alice then took her time to talk to her about what to expect and how to the IV would only hurt a little. She was gentle when starting her IV and my daughter was relaxed and even laughed at the nurse jokes. Our pre-op experience was wonderful since she explained everything and answered all our questions. This has been the best visit to the hospital by far. Alice is a wonderful nurse to kids and babies. She also came to recovery to see us before we left and showed so much compassion. I will continue to ask for her if I ever have to visit surgery again. Her big heart and kind words will never be forgotten, for going above and beyond patient care and compassion. Some people are born to be nurses.
