Alice heard of my patient needing an emergent dental procedure, but the patient did not have insurance to cover the cost. She contacted the Knox County Health Clinic to find out what programs my patient may qualify for. She then found a Dental Assistance Program, printed off the application, met with my patient to explain in detail how to fill out the application, what forms were needed, and shared that the Knox County Health Clinic would be in contact within a week to assist the patient. My patient was beyond relieved to find out about this program and very thankful for the information. We are lucky to have Alice and her knowledge of resources in the community for our patients, along with her willingness to meet with all patients to assist them.
