On behalf of the Seton Hill Nursing Program, I would like to thank you for welcoming the students to your unit this semester. It was a pleasure to work with the wonderful staff you have on this unit. Both the students and faculty had nothing but nice things to say about our experiences on this floor. As a matter of fact because of this rotation, I am thinking a step-down unit will be my #1 choice when I graduate!

I wanted to take the time to recognize one nurse who stood out to me – Alicia. Though I have only been assigned to her twice, it was evident to me that she not only is passionate about her job but also the quality of our education as nursing students. She consistently went above and beyond to ensure we absorbed as much as possible with our time here. The first time I was assigned to her, she sought opportunities for me to practice my nursing skills outside of what was expected of me that day. As a student, it can be intimidating getting assigned to a nurse you are unfamiliar with, knowing that some nurses aren’t as open to students as others. She welcomed me with open arms and truly made me feel more confident in my abilities. Because of this, I will remember her as I continue to move forward with my education and eventually my career.

My brother was on the 3rd floor. The nurse's empathy, patience, excellent communication skills, and passion for the patient are appreciated every day. Thanks for all the talks on the phone and in person. You are an angel in my eyes. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
