Ms. Alicia, no matter how hard we try words can’t express how thankful we are to have such a sweet young smart primary nurse like you for our baby! You’ve been such a great advocate for us you’ve been our voice since day one and have always helped us get through our very rough days! Thank you for showing us that you care and for always going above and beyond. You lead by example, you love your job, and you sure have a great way of showing it! It’s no wonder everyone wants you as a primary nurse for their baby! You ALWAYS have an answer to ALL of my million questions and honestly you make us feel so much better when we’re in doubt. I love that you were patient with my lack of understanding and my desire to know more. During the topic regarding my baby’s possible trach, you managed to be by our side and helped fight for answers and possible outcomes or different scenarios of which route we might take- you showed us how important it was for you to be at the care conference with us even though it was going to fall on one of your days off!!! You didn’t have to be there, but guess what? YOU DID! You made that sacrifice and went out of your way just to be there with us when you might have had other plans in mind for that day! I just want to remind you that every sacrifice has a fruitful reward so thank you a million times for being there with us!

I remember you coming into our room before the meeting that day to make an appearance and as you left our room to go to that first meeting with the specialists and physicians I cried tears of joy just to know you were here! (You know me I’m such a big cry baby lol) I told my husband how confident you made me feel about the conference when I was so nervous about it from the beginning. It’s moments like these and nurses like you that give us lots of hope!

Thank you for taking care of my baby and us when we were present! I had no clue that bonds would be made, love would be given, and cries would be shared…Ms. Alicia, you have no idea how much of an impact you had on our family! I brag about you all the time to my associates at work and family members! Please don’t ever change!! I pray to God to keep expanding your knowledge give you the strength to care for these NICU babies and the courage to keep going forward! A million thank you for providing my baby with your intensive care!! You’ll always have a special place in our hearts!
