I would love to recognize the kindness Alicia showed to a patient. Alicia was her PACU nurse post-left femur ORIF. When the patient arrived back to her room after surgery, she was not thrilled about the meal she was delivered from the hospital cafeteria. She commented how she would really love Chick-fil-A; it’s one of her favorite places. Alicia was present in the room getting her settled when the patient made this statement. Alicia arrived the following day on her day off from work to surprise the patient with Chick-fil-A for lunch. The patient was so happy and grateful for the kindness she was shown. Alicia brightened the patient's day when going through a rough day on her first day after surgery. What a blessing this hospital is to have Alicia here caring for patients.
